My time at Center Moriches School District was, sadly, cut short due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. As a result of the financial constraints faced by the district, my position was abolished. When my students heard the news (not from me, I might add) they organized themselves to speak on my behalf at the board of education meeting. While it was heartbreaking to lose my position in Center Moriches, this meeting is still one of the highlights of my career. To hear my students speaking candidly about me and the impact that I had on them made me realize that all of the hard work I had put in and the sacrifices that I'd made were completely worth it.
